Chief Instructor: Matt Spriggs 4th Dan
Started Shotokan Karate with the School of Japanese Karate in 1982. Studied with Shiro Asano 8th Dan and Shihan Hirokazu Kanazawa. Competed in Kata and Kumite tournaments for fourteen years (winning a few trophies and bruises along the way). After training with Professor Rick Clark back in 1997, Matt decided to study and incorporate Kyusho Jitsu into his training to make it more complete. Set up a Seijitsu street self defence training programme to assist beginners in learning practical techniques to enable them to look after themselves on the street. Matt is dedicated to passing on this knowledge to everyone who wishes to train hard and learn more about what the martial arts has to offer.

Senior Instructor: Stavros Marangos 2nd Dan
My first experience of Martial Arts was at the London Transport Karate Club, U.K.S.K.O. under Sensei Frank Perry, back in 1980. In 1991 I studied Feng Shou, Kung Fu, for approximately 18 months, with Sifu Sandy Hemingway. In 1993, I got back into Shotokan Karate, training under Sensei Chris Solomou, then Sensei Matt Spriggs, who I'm currently training with, and have attained the grade of Nidan, awarded to me by none other than Professor Rick Clarke, at the 2000 A.D.K. seminar in Edinburgh, needless  to say I've been studying Kyusho Jitsu with Rick whenever he's over at our dojo, and I've had some competition success in National Kumite competitions, many moon's ago!In September 2000, I decided to do some cross training, and started Jiu Jitsu training under Shihan Bryan Cheek, and attained my Shodan in November 2004. I'm also a qualified fitness instructor, and practice Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga as often as I can.
